HETAS registered installations. Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps reports and certificates. We keep records and can provide copies for domestic and commercial purposes, landlords and letting agents.

Prices
What each job costs
Prices include VAT. A sweep is priced per flue, and each one takes about an hour. Repairs and installs depend on the stove, the chimney and the parts, so we look first, from a photo or a survey, and agree the price before we start.
Chimney sweeping
Open fires, wood burners and multi-fuel stoves, with a smoke test and a certificate.
Stove servicing
We sweep the flue and replace the flue outlet seal and the door and glass seals.
Agas and Rayburns
Solid-fuel Agas, Rayburns and boiler cookers, swept or fully serviced. We don't work on oil or gas models at the moment.
Birds and cowls
Nesting birds are protected by law, so we leave them until they've finished, usually by July or August.
Repairs
Send us a photo and we'll tell you what it needs. Masonry repairs run from March to August, and twin-wall flue repairs all year.
Surveys and installs
We fit any stove allowed in the UK and self-certify it through HETAS. Most installs take between a day and a week.
Extra time is charged in half-hour blocks at £47.50 including VAT, and we'll always agree it with you first.

On the day
What happens at a sweep
We allow an hour for each flue. You'll get reminders before the day and a message when we're on our way.

A chat about your fire
How it's been burning, the fuel you use and how last winter went.

Dust sheets down
Then we look over the chimney from the ground and check the appliance.

The sweep
Brushes up the flue, with a specialist vacuum for the fine dust.

A smoke test
To check the flue draws properly. If something's wrong, we'll show you photos and write down what it needs.

Your certificate
For your insurer, with our photos and notes. We keep a copy online.

Hello, I'm Ben
I've lived in Surrey for 37 years. I started out in farm construction, and when the chance came up to fit fireplaces, I fell in love with it. Creating a beautiful focal point in someone's home is still my favourite part of the job.
I went on to be lead installer for two stove companies, and offering chimney sweeping and repairs was the natural next step. I filled out my first sweep certificate in 2011. Today we're a family-run business working on everything from small homes to country estates, museums and art galleries.
After an install, the thing I hear most is “it's one of the best things, if not the best thing, we've done in our house.” People also tell me I can't be a chimney sweep because I'm so clean.
